Almost "Trump" Free!

After a busy three days of traveling, college visiting and shopping, we were all happy to get a good night's sleep.

Tom woke early, and rode the Migizi trail first thing in the morning. The rest of us slowly rolled out of bed, and after saying "good morning" to the lake (a sight we will never get tired of), we got ready for church. Since all seven of us are here, and we were all dressed in more-or-less our Sunday best, we had a quick photo shoot before leaving the resort. We enjoyed the service and message (including a drama called "McChurch") at the Evangelical Free Church.

After the service, the kids drove back to the resort, while Tom and I went to WalMart for our big grocery run. When we returned to Birch Villa, we enjoyed our afternoon sitting by the lake, chatting with cousins, knitting, reading, etc.

Seth and Maddie had brought us steaks from home, so we planned a nice meal for Sunday evening. After prepping most of the food (roasted broccoli/cauliflower and potato casserole), I went out for a quick 10-mile bike ride while the rest of the gang chipped in to get the salad made and steaks on the grill and to the table. Everything was so delicious!

Chloe has been taking her antibiotics, but continues to have a very sore throat. She spent most of her day in bed, and we began to wonder if she could have mono (since the urgent care doctor had mentioned the possibility). To help distract and cheer her up, Jared, Tom and I taught her how to play Euchre after supper.

We noticed, with relief, this is about the only time in the past several days that we've heard "Trump" mentioned...while playing Euchre!
