A little shopping

Our second week started with a cold, dreary Monday. Being the fair-weather fishermen that we are, we didn't go out on the lake today. The ladies piled into two vans and drove to Walker for our annual beach-town shopping day. With its quaint gift shops, unique kitchen gadgets, "Up North" t-shirts and sweatshirts, and wild rice distributors, it's a favorite place to spend a cloudy day. Some of our favorite shops include: Tiger Lily's, Lundrigan's, Jenny & Company, and Christmas Point.

We shopped, enjoyed some lunch at the Village Square Cafe, and then shopped some more. Tom biked down, met us for lunch, and shopped for awhile with me before biking back to Cass Lake.

We spent a cool, lazy evening around the cabin, reading and playing games.
