Fishing, Wine Tasting, & The Boulders

This morning was another good morning of fishing. Tom & I took Seth & Leah back to the Potato Islands spot for another round. This time, although we had a little wind to contend with, we were able to come away with 17 fish total (11 rock bass, 2 bluegill, and 4 perch).

After Tom finished cleaning the fish, and we had both showered and cleaned up, we picked up my sister Beth and went to the Forestedge Winery for a little wine tasting. We enjoy the winery because of its use of different fruits in making wines (since grapes don't grow in this area). We then met Mom, Dad, and brother-in-law Bill at The Boulders, a very nice restaurant in Walker. We all enjoyed a nice dinner out (without the kids!). The kids stayed back at the resort and had pizza at the lodge. When we arrived home, Seth and Luke asked if they could drive to Bemidji to see a movie. This was the first time the two of them had been able to go out on their own, since Seth didn't have his license last year. They went; and they made it there and back in one piece! Whew!
