I'm sitting here in the cabin living room, trying to keep cool, as the thunder rumbles not far away. It's been a warm, partly sunny, partly cloudy kind of day, with the threat of rain off and on. I believe it's finally here. And come to think of it, this is the first time we've heard thunder during our whole two weeks here.

Tom & I went out fishing one last time this morning, and even though we were rockin' and rollin' on some pretty big waves, we were able to catch 9 perch and 2 rock bass. Our freezer is quite full and we'll have plenty of fish to eat during the year and even some to give away.

We're mostly packed up, and will throw the remaining bags and cooler full of fish in the car in the morning. It has been a lovely day...a mixture of fishing, packing, reading/relaxing, packing, a pizza picnic, more packing, and more reading/relaxing. Jared & Leah went with Luke and Tommy this evening to see yet another movie (Pacific Rim...all about monsters and robots, I guess). Tom is reading "Gone Girl" and also "Ender's Game." And I'm reading "Devil in the White City." Chloe has been having a blast swimming with her cousins today, and is now going over to their cabin for a little "party."

Since we'll be leaving in the morning, I think it's time for me to wrap up this year's Lake Log with my handy-dandy summary:
