Linda is wife to Tom, Mom to Jared, Seth, Leah and Chloe, and MIL to Maddie. She’s inspired by her everyday experiences and perspectives as a parent and recent empty-nester. Through biking, traveling, parenting her adult children, assisting her elderly parents, and spending time with family and friends, she captures stories to encourage you in your everyday. If your nest is full-for-now, soon-to-be-empty, or all the birds have flown, Linda’s message is one of promise and possibility on your journey!

I’m so glad you stopped by!

Like graffiti, my writing is an expression of who I am, a colorful image of the life I’ve been given, and the people and things that surround me. My story comes to life on my blog, much like graffiti on a cement wall or train car.

I love a great metaphor as much as a good cup of coffee, a glass of red wine, or a square of dark chocolate; all of which are even better when shared with a friend.

I take my coffee to work with me in my “real job” as a school Speech Language Pathologist. Helping students with a variety of communication disorders and disabilities provides its own challenges and rewards. Besides that, it allows me to do all the grammar-correcting I want in a legit way! When I’m not working, writing or biking, I enjoy reading, gardening, back yard bird-watching, knitting, and digital scrapbooking.

In my writing, as in my life, I try to be real. I know that means my faults and weaknesses might be exposed. But it’s okay. I believe in the grace and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, and the unconditional love of my heavenly Father. It’s like He’s handed me a can of spray paint and said, “Get out there and paint that wall; spread the Word! I don’t care how messy or imperfect it is, in fact, the messier, the better. It will look great in my Light. ”

And so I paint with my words. As you pass by, I hope you’ll pause, take a look, and see the Light reflected through them.
