A Picture-Perfect Day!

On this beautiful 9th of July, the photos can tell the story better than my words can.

Morning:

Ollie’s first boat ride. “Wheee!” he said, as the wind messed up his hair.

Tom, Seth, Maddie, and I went to Potato Islands. We caught two fish, but the winds weren't right so we moved over to "The Green House," where we eventually pulled in five more for a total of seven (2 rock bass, 5 perch).

Afternoon:

Laundry. (No photos necessary!)

Swimming. Beach time with Ollie.

Evening:

A table for 13 on the patio at Ruttger’s Birchmont Lodge. Delicious walleye dinner with wild rice.

A visit to Paul Bunyan and Babe in downtown Bemidji. Ollie and the “kids” enjoyed the new playground.

Back at the resort, we had a campfire with several of the cousins. A picture-perfect ending to a picture-perfect day!
