Jump shot Friday

Leah enjoys fishing, and since this would be her final day with us (she heads back home for work tomorrow), she had planned to come with us. Chloe is our reluctant fisher-girl. We need to coax and prod her along, and if we're lucky, we get her to join us for one day of fishing over our two-week trip. Today was that day!

The four of us fished Pike Bay, but decided to try a different spot, closer to the western shore. We were near my Dad who had brought Bill, William and Zach with him. We had great luck, with 20 fish total: 10 rock bass, 7 perch, 2 bluegill, and 1 really nice 13" crappie (for Leah). While on the Bay we were also amazed at the Eagle swooping  down near our boat. There was a water plane on the other side of the lake that we watched take off and land a few times as well. We don't get this kind of entertainment at home!

In the afternoon, several of us sat by the lake watching the kids tubing, and checking out the baby ducks, which grow bigger every day!

The evening brought supper time (Santa Fe Chicken) and the cousin "jump shot." We had some new cousins to add to the photo shoot this year, and we had to time it between several families' suppers and a big group bike ride. Bill, Beth, William, Nicole, Elise, Leah, Fred, Tom and I rode the Migizi trail. For many, it was their last chance as they are getting ready to go home tomorrow. We've enjoyed having new family members join us this year, and that Leah was able to return after a year off...but are sad that the week went by way too fast!
