After saying good-bye to the Lake (and all of our relatives), and dusting the sand off the car floorboards and mats, we were on our way home (it was 8:52 a.m. CT). The trip home was uneventful (although we did meet Beth & Bill at Culver's in Rice Lake (WI) for lunch, and stopped in Janesville for some Wisconsin cheese and New Glarus Beer). We arrived home at exactly midnight (ET), just slightly over 14 hours after we left.
