What to do when the weather's yuck...

We woke up Tuesday to a gloomy, windy, cool morning. The thought of going out fishing just didn't sound too appealing, and so we lazed around the cabin most of the morning, watching our "Today Show," reading or listening to books, knitting, or sleeping (Jared). By about noon we had formulated a plan with the rest of the gang for some of the women and kids to go shopping in Walker, while some of the guys went golfing, fishing or biking. Tom opted for biking and went around the Mi-Gi-Zi trail. Seth opted for fishing with Roy & Luke, but didn't get too far due to the wind. Linda, Leah, Chloe & Jared opted for shopping with Beth and three of her kids (we also met up with Grandma, Pat, Deb, Aunt Sone & Erin when we got there). We found some cool things in Walker (including ice cream, of course!). Then at about 6:00, we headed over with Tom, Bill and the boys to eat supper at Zorbaz of Park Rapids (i.e. Rapidz). We loved the pizza and the kids had a great time.

We got back to the resort just in time for the boys to join in on the Texas Hold 'em competition. Unfortunately, neither one ended up doing so well, although Jared's gambling spirit could probably be the reason for this--just ask Seth! I don't think he'll be asking Jared to finish playing for him again next year. The girls enjoyed sleepovers with their cousins and Leah reportedly didn't get to sleep until about 1:30 a.m.
